By submitting this application to NARTA, the applicant service provider (you):
- [accuracy of information] declare that all information given, including claims that certain information is not required, is correct at the time of submission and understand that no further changes can be made to the information contained in the submission without NARTA being made aware of such changes;
- [supporting documents requested by assessor] declare that you have appropriate supporting documents to demonstrate the correctness of the information provided and are willing to provide all reasonable information requested by an assessor for the purposes of undertaking the accreditation review within a reasonable timeframe;
- [code of ethics] undertake to:
- uphold a high standard of business ethics and customer service at all times;
- obey all legal requirements, and “good practices” relating to the industry, such as (but not limited to) insurance, licenses, land and water approvals / permits, and industry qualifications;
- protect the natural environment and ensure that all practices follow minimal impact guidelines;
- protect the safety and welfare of staff and participants at all times, through detailed risk minimisation strategies;
- treat all people; clients, co-workers, competitors and the general public, with professionalism, equity and integrity;
- protect staff and client rights to privacy and confidentiality with respect to information sought or received;
- treat co-workers and other colleagues with respect, fairness and good faith, and advocate conditions of employment that safeguard the rights and welfare of all employees; and
- strive for excellence in the profession by maintaining and enhancing your own knowledge and skills & by encouraging the professional development of co-workers.
- [standard of ongoing conduct] note that the purpose of the accreditation program is to provide group accommodation and activity providers with recognition for having met specified standards, which is in turn intended to provide users of your service with assurances in relation to the levels of legal compliance and ethical conduct by the provider; and acknowledge your responsibility to uphold the claims that you have made in this application for the period of your accreditation;
- [compliance with policies and procedures] note that the accreditation application is assessed on the basis of the information provided to NARTA of your policies and procedures, and consequently acknowledge that accreditation by NARTA does not make any determination of whether your service delivery is in compliance with your policies and procedures at the time of application, accreditation, or on an ongoing basis;
- [representations regarding accreditation] understand that you must only make representations that you are accredited by NARTA for the period that the accreditation is valid and has not lapsed, been suspended or otherwise withdrawn;
- [lapse of accreditation on sale of business] understand that accreditation will lapse upon transfer of the business or change in the ownership of the entity operating the business and that re-submission of an accreditation application at this time will incur an administration fee;
- [indemnity] indemnify NARTA in relation to any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, suits, judgments, fees, costs and expenses (including, without limitation, reasonable legal fees and expenses) it may suffer or incur, directly or indirectly, as a result of:
- the gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or unlawful act of you or any of your personnel; and/or
- any errors, omissions or oversights (whether intentional or otherwise) in the information provided for the accreditation application;
- you changing any aspect of your service delivery following accreditation; and
- any loss of or damage to property, or injury to or death of any person, caused or contributed to by you or any of your personnel.
- [payment of invoice] the invoice will be supplied upon submission of the application, and you undertake to pay the full fee invoiced for accreditation or reaccreditation within 14 days of receiving the invoice;
- [notification of change and incidents] undertake to notify NARTA within 14 days of you becoming aware of any change, incident, act, omission or finding that:
- could constitute a breach of the code of ethics;
- is reportable to the relevant Work Cover authority within your jurisdiction;
- determines a breach of a legal or regulatory requirement has occurred; or
- could constitute a criminal offence; and
- [suspension and withdrawal of accreditation] acknowledge that accreditation may be suspended at any time by NARTA and may be withdrawn following a reasonable investigation and right of response by you.
